An early 19th century oil painting on canvas was without a frame and had lost it’s gold circular mount. Having cut a new circular mount from whitecore board it left it with a white bevelled edge. I carefully hand coloured this with a gold metallic paint. Framed with a new gold/brown distressed moulding and with the back papered the painting was once again complete and ready to hang.
